Privacy Policy
CompressFree is designed around transparent processing. Client-side tools run in your browser, and future server-side tools will be clearly labeled.
Client-side processing
Most image, QR, text, developer, and calculator tools process files or text locally in your browser. For those tools, your files or pasted content are not uploaded to a CompressFree server for processing.
Server-side processing
If a future tool requires server-side processing for large files, OCR, batch work, or advanced PDF handling, the tool page will say so before upload. Those workflows should use temporary encrypted storage, short retention windows, and automatic deletion.
Retention windows
Client-side-only tool output is not stored on CompressFree servers. Temporary server-side uploads should be deleted immediately after a successful job when possible, usually within 15 to 60 minutes. Failed-job artifacts should be kept no longer than 24 hours unless a user explicitly asks for support.
Support attachments
Do not send sensitive files through support unless a secure support channel is specifically provided. If support attachments are accepted later, the default retention target is 30 days or less with a visible deletion path.
Analytics and ads
CompressFree may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand page performance, tool starts, successful downloads, and errors. Analytics events must not include filenames, pasted content, file contents, or personal document data. Advertising, if added, will be kept separate from tool controls and download buttons.
